Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu: Pick up at airport, and then transfer to Hotel: D

Day 03: Sightseeing in Kathmandu: Visit Soyambhunath, Patan Durbar Square and Boudhanath. B

Day 04: Fly to Lhasa / drive to Tsedang (3500m) 90 km: Rest for acclimatization. BLD

Day 05: Sightseeing in Tsedang: Yambulakhang, Tombs of Tibetan Kings and Tandruk monastery .BLD                                                                                               
Day 06: Drive to Lhasa (3650m) 190 kms: visit Samya Monastery on the way.BLD

Day 07: Sightseeing in Lhasa: Drepung Monastery, Norbulingka and Jokhang temple. BLD

Day 08: Sightseeing in Lhasa: Visit Potala Palace and Sera Monastery. BLD

Note: Since only a limited number of visitors are allowed inside the Potala palace every day, the order of sightseeing places will be decided upon by your guide.
 
Day 09: Drive to Gyantse (3950m) 260 kms: drive through Yamdrok Lake. BLD

Day 10: Drive to Shegar (4050m) 335 kms: Gyantse Dzong and Kumbum. BLD

Day 11: Shegar - Everest Base Camp – (5200m) – Shegar (4050m) 196 kms: BLD

Note: If you do not want to go to Everest Base Camp, you can spend a day in Shegar in leisure.

Day 12: Drive to Zhangmu (2300m) 260 kms: Descend to border town. BLD

Day 13: Drive to Kathmandu (1400m) 130 kms: Cross Friendship Bridge, then drive to Kathmandu. B

Day 14: Depart from Nepal: Transfer to airport. B
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu: Upon arrival at International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative will receive and escort you to hotel: D

Day 02: Guided sightseeing in Kathmandu:  The rich tapestry of the cultural heritage of Nepal is synthesized in Kathmandu Valley, representing elegant architecture, refined culture, colorful bazaars and simple hospitable people. Today you will visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites Bhaktapur and Pashupatinath.

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at hotel. Drive to Bhaktapur that lies 14 km east of Kathmandu. Bhaktapur meaning the "city of devotees" is the home of medieval art & architecture and still retains its rich medieval aroma. A city of farmers, Bhaktapur is also known for its pottery and weaving. The intricately carved temples, alleyways and timeless atmosphere of this place are simply fascinating. Bhaktapur Durbar Square is located in the center of Bhaktapur. The Square is one of the most charming architectural showpieces of the Valley as it highlights some of the finest medieval arts of Nepal.
Then drive to the temple of Pashupatinath –the seat of the national deity, Lord Pashupatinath. Situated at the holy river Bgmati,  Aryaghat of Pashupati is the most sacred and popular cremation site of Nepal. B

Day 03: Guided sightseeing in Kathmandu: Today you will visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites – Soyambhunath (monkey temple), Patan Durbar Square and Boudhanath.

Visit the Soyambhunath stupa on a hillock over looking Kathmandu valley. Well known as ‘Monkey Temple’ the golden spire crowning, Soyambhunath is the most ancient and mystical of all the holy shrines in Kathmandu valley. Then visit Patan - the first city of Nepal. The ancient name of Patan is Lalitpur, meaning city of beauty. The city is believed to be the first settlement in the Valley and famous for its amazing collection of fantastically carved temples and palace courtyards. You can also visit Nepali Handicraft Shop in Patan Industrial Zone for authentic Nepali souvenirs. Late afternoon, you’ll visit Boudhanath, possibly the world’s largest Buddhist stupa and a site of great veneration and Tibetan cultural. Visit Tibetan monastery and painting school. Overnight at Hotel. B

Day 04: Fly to Lhasa / drive to Tsedang (3500m) 90 km: The adventure starts with an eye-opening flight to Lhasa flying over Himalayas. You will be met at Gonggar Airport by your Tibetan guide. After immigration formalities, you will be driven to Tsedang. It takes around 1 hour plus to reach the old city. After checking in at your hotel, you are advised to take rest and avoid exertion for acclimatization. Overnight at Hotel. BLD

Day 05: Sightseeing in Tsedang: Tsedang is the cradle of Tibetan civilization and the area is filled with important historical landmarks. You will visit Yambulakhang (the first Palace of Tibet dates back to 2nd century BC), some massive Tombs of Tibetan Kings from 7th century and Tandruk monastery which had a long history and boast many sculptures and paintings from ancient times.  By visiting legendary Tsedang, you can not only explore Tibet's origins, but also enjoy the spectacular landscape of Yarlung Tsangpo Valley. Day 06: Drive to Lhasa (3650m) 190 kms: From Tsedang you will have a beautiful drive to Lhasa with breathtaking views following the Yarlung and Lhasa River. Cross Yarlung or Brahmaputra River on ferry and take a short drive on local public transport to visit Samya Monastery. You have to cross the river again, and then drive to Lhasa. After check in hotel in Lhasa, you will have time to walk at Bharkhor area. Barkhor Street is the Tibetan people's prides. Located in the old area of Lhasa City, the Barkhor Street is a very ancient as well as the most representative street surrounding the Jokhang Temple, served as a trading and religious center. The goods for sale here exemplify local Tibetan culture and artifacts. From morning to evening, streams of people throng the streets, to purchase whatever they need. Overnight at Hotel. BLD

Day 07: Sightseeing in Lhasa: After breakfast, your guide will take you on a tour to Drepung Monastery, Norbulingka and Jokhang temple. At the famous Drepung Monastery, you will get an insight into the important aspects of Tibetan Buddhism. It is the biggest monastic university of Lhasa, housing 7,700 monks in its heyday. You pay a visit to Norbulingka, the summer retreat of the Dalai Lama. Completed in 1956, the handsome building is ornately decorated with Tibetan carvings and paintings. Jokhang temple provides yet another glimpse of the rich Tibetan cultural heritage. It is the holiest shrine of Tibet situated in the heart of Lhasa. You will also get the chance to stroll around the busy Barkhor Square, the nerve centre of Lhasa. After the day’s tour, you will be escorted back to your hotel. Overnight at Hotel. BLD

Day 08: Sightseeing in Lhasa: You will be escorted by your guide to the majestic Potala Palace. The imposing structure of the palace dominates the landscape of Lhasa. As you are guided through the ancient chambers of the palace, you get to see Tibetan art at its best. The Potala Palace has a vast array of intricate Tibetan murals and beautiful statues. You will also get to view the tombs of the eight Dalai Lamas. Later in the day you will visit the beautifully Sera Monastery where you can observe monks debating and performing religious discourses. After the day’s tour is over, you are escorted back to your hotel. Overnight at Hotel. BLD

Day 09: Drive to Gyantse (3950m) 260 kms: Moving along the Friendship Highway, you drive past Khamba La, at 4794 meter, with a brief halt to savor majestic views of Yamdrok-tso Lake and Nazin Kang Sa, standing at 7252m. On turning westwards, you come across another pass, Karo La at 5045m. If you look at the road, you can see huge glaciers tumbling down. After driving 260 km, beautifully landscaped Tibetan villages become visible as you enter the town of Gyantse. Overnight at Hotel. BLD

Day 10: Drive to Shegar (4050m) 335 kms: Gyantse prides on Gyantse Dzong and Kumbum. Gyantse Dzong, a 14th century historical fort, overlooks the entire Gyantse and the surrounding Nyang Chu Valley. Kumbum has a large gold-domed stupa and houses several chapels and Tibetan Buddhist murals. After exploring Gyantse, you take a 90 km drive and arrive at Shigatse,(3900m) the second largest Tibetan city. After lunch and a brief visit of Tashilhunpo Monastery at Shigatse, you will traverse along the Friendship Highway amidst picturesque landscape driving past small town of Lhatse and Gyatchu La pass at 5220m. As the route opens into plains, many monasteries and camps of nomadic herders become visible en route to Shegar. Overnight at Hotel. BLD

Day 11: Shegar - Everest Base Camp – (5200m) – Shegar (4050m) 196 kms: Away from Shegar, you will drive to the south crossing Pang La pass at 5150m. Along the drive you can bask in the splendor of majestic views of snow-capped peaks from Makalu to Shishapangma.  After driving for about 2 ½ hours, you will reach Rongbuk Monastery at the foothills of Mt. Everest at 5000m. It is the highest monastery in the world. From here you can then view spectacular sight of Mount Everest. You will drive 8 kilometers further to Everest Base Camp (5200m.) The base camp itself is dry and barren, but the views of Everest more than compensates for it. It truly is an awe-inspiring place with the sheer north face of the highest mountain in the world towering above you. After spending some time at Base Camp, you will drive back to Shegar to spend the night. Do not forget to carry your passport with you on this day. There is a check post at BC. Overnight at Hotel. Note: If you do not want to Base Camp, you can spend a day in Shegar in leisure.

Day 12: Drive to Zhangmu (2300m) 260 kms: You will drive past Tingri crossing Lalung La pass at 5124m and Shug La pass at 5200m. Savoring the enchanting views of the surrounding peaks of Shishapangma, Cho Oyu, Menlungtse and Gauri Shankar, you descend from the arid Tibetan Plateau to verdant Zhangmu on the Nepalese border. After a dramatic drop of 1500 meters within one hour from Nyalam, you find yourself amidst the lush and verdant vegetation of Zhangmu at 2300 meter. Overnight at Hotel. BLD

Day 13: Drive to Kathmandu (1400m) 130 kms: A few kilometers drive away from Zhangmu to Friendship Bridge across Bhote Koshi River brings you to the Immigration Control in Kodari. Here, you will part with your Tibetan guide and driver, and walk across the river to meet your Nepalese escort who will drive you to Kathmandu. After driving about 5 hours scenic drives, you finally arrive in Kathmandu. Overnight at Hotel. B

Day 14: Depart from Nepal: Transfer to airport. B
